The Philosophy

“You ain’t got time? What does that even mean? Why is your grammar so bad?”

People probably want to ask that all the time…but there is a meaning behind it.  Allow me to explain…

It is a smart-assed declaration. Something created in my uber-youth that carries a deep philosophy. Mean people, rudeness, idle time, useless experiences say, “I ain’t got time for that.”

Now let me explain this with more mature terms.

Life is incredibly short. So short, in fact, that you should not worry about things that you cannot change, things that make you cringe, and things that aren’t worth your time.  If you don’t love it, believe in it, or want to live it, then don’t do it. So many things will break your heart in this life.  You may not have control over everything, but you CAN make the things in your own space the most important things.

I haven’t mastered it yet, but I’m on my way.

I do my very best reflecting when stuck in a little gray cubicle at work. Nearly two years ago,  while in this deep state of thought, I mapped out a path to a more creative career field. Design and I began flirting, then we started fooling around, and now we are having a full blow love affair behind my day job’s back.

I have an incredible amount of goals to accomplish. None of them are to be the best designer in the world, but I wouldn’t mind being the happiest. I hope that once I complete this program, I can use my skills and talents to design for people who really need it. Nothing would be more amazing than if I could ride out the rest of my life living on an island, maybe running a small business, with my gutterbird and my two cocker spaniels. I want to visit a new country every year to satisfy my travel bug.  I think this is all doable!
